PROFESSIONAL MOLD ASSESSMENT

Mold Assessment

A thorough evaluation to help identify moisture, mold, and areas of concern.

Our Mold Assessment Process

We use a combination of visual inspection, moisture and humidity evaluation, thermal imaging, air sampling, surface sampling, and particle testing based on the conditions found at the property.

1. Initial Inspection

We begin by looking for signs that may indicate a mold or moisture concern, including unusual odors and visible conditions.

2. Moisture & Humidity

We look for moisture-related conditions around areas such as pipes, windows, walls, and other susceptible areas while evaluating humidity conditions.

3. FLIR Thermal Imaging

We use FLIR thermal imaging to identify temperature differences that can help pinpoint areas requiring further investigation.

4. Air Sampling

When appropriate, we collect indoor and control air samples for comparison based on the conditions being evaluated.

5. Surface Sampling

When mold is visibly present, we can collect a swab sample and properly document and preserve it for laboratory analysis.

6. Particle Testing

Particle testing provides additional information that can help evaluate conditions within the property.

Testing Based on the Property

We select testing methods and sample locations based on the conditions we find during the assessment. Our goal is to gather the information needed to evaluate the concern while being mindful of the customer’s investment.

The number and type of samples can vary depending on the property and the conditions being evaluated. We use our professional judgment to determine what testing is appropriate.

Laboratory & Documentation

When samples are collected for laboratory analysis, we properly document and preserve them through the testing process, including chain-of-custody procedures.

Professional Tools & Technology

We use multiple tools and testing methods to build a more complete picture of conditions within a property.

FLIR Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging helps us identify temperature differences and areas that may require further investigation.

Air Sampling Cassettes

Air sampling can provide information for comparison between indoor and control conditions.

Surface Swab Testing

Surface samples can provide additional information when visible mold is present.

Particle Testing

Particle testing provides additional information during the assessment.
