PROFESSIONAL MOLD TESTING

Mold Testing

Testing methods selected to help evaluate mold concerns and conditions within your property.

Mold Testing Based on Your Property

Mold testing is not a one-size-fits-all process. We select testing methods and sample locations based on the conditions found during the assessment.

Our goal is to gather useful information about the conditions within the property while being mindful of the customer’s investment.

Air Sampling

Air samples can be collected from indoor areas and appropriate control locations to provide information for comparison.

Surface Swab Testing

When visible mold is present, a surface swab can be collected for laboratory analysis.

Particle Testing

Particle testing provides additional information that can help evaluate conditions within the property.

Thermal Imaging

FLIR thermal imaging can help identify temperature differences and areas that may require further investigation.

How We Determine What Testing Is Appropriate

We begin by evaluating the property and the conditions we find. The information gathered during the assessment helps us determine which testing methods are appropriate.

The number and type of samples can vary depending on the property and the conditions being evaluated. We use our professional judgment to determine what testing is appropriate.

Testing Locations

Sample locations are selected based on the areas of concern and the conditions identified during the assessment. This may include indoor areas, control locations, and specific surfaces when appropriate.

Laboratory Testing & Documentation

When samples are collected for laboratory analysis, they are properly documented and preserved through the testing process.

Proper Sample Handling

Samples are properly sealed, documented, and handled for laboratory analysis.

Chain of Custody

When applicable, chain-of-custody procedures are used to document the handling and transfer of samples.

Laboratory Analysis

Collected samples can be submitted for laboratory analysis to provide additional information about the conditions evaluated.
